Lumas Healthcare & Associates is proud to offer a Summer Work Program designed to inspire, educate, and engage the next generation of healthcare professionals. This program is open to students ages 16 and up who are currently enrolled in high school.

Program Overview:

Our Summer Work Program provides students with hands-on experience in a professional clinical setting. Participants will work alongside our healthcare team, gaining valuable insight into daily operations, patient care support, administrative tasks, and the importance of compassionate service in the medical field.

Program Requirements:

• Must be 16 years of age or older and currently enrolled in high school
• Must submit a completed application and provide parent/guardian consent
• Must be available to work a flexible part-time schedule during the summer months

At Lumas Healthcare & Associates, we are committed to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our Preceptorship Program provides a structured, supportive, and immersive experience for nursing students, medical assistants, and nurse practitioner candidates seeking clinical hours and real-world practice.

Who This Program Is For

• Nursing Students (LPN or RN programs)
• Medical Assistant Students (Certified or Registered programs)
• Nurse Practitioner Students (FNP, WHNP, or other advanced practice tracks)

Program Requirements 

• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing or nurse practitioner program
• Must complete a preceptorship application, background check, and brief orientation
• Must commit to a mutually agreed upon schedule for clinical hours

Lumas Healthcare & Associates LLC is proud to serve as a host worksite for the EPIC WEX paid-internship program, an initiative funded through the Three Rivers Career Coaches Initiative and AccelerateMS. This impactful partnership provides high school students with hands-on experience in a real-world clinical setting—equipping them with the practical skills, confidence, and insight needed to thrive in the healthcare field.
