The Rising Star Scholarship is a signature initiative of the Lumas Foundation, designed to support high-achieving students who are pursuing careers in nursing, medicine, and allied health sciences. This scholarship is more than financial aid—it’s an investment in the future of healthcare and the leaders of tomorrow.

This scholarship celebrates the invaluable impact of teachers who shape lives, build futures, and serve as the backbone of our communities. The Classroom Champion Scholarship supports individuals pursuing careers in education—especially those committed to teaching in underserved or rural areas.

The Future Business Leader Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors, college students, or adult learners who are pursuing degrees in business administration, entrepreneurship, management, or finance. This scholarship is designed to support individuals with strong leadership potential, a commitment to ethical business practices, and a passion for making a positive impact in their communities.

To be considered for a Lumas Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a graduating high school senior
• Must be accepted into a college, university, or accredited post-secondary program
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Must submit all of the following:
  • A completed scholarship application
  • An official high school transcript
  • One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, mentor, or community leader
  • A 500-word essay on the topic: “How I Plan to Use My Education to Make a Difference.”
